Shane Wells is a lifelong native of Haywood County, North Carolina. He grew up hunting and fishing in the Shining Rock Wilderness area and is a skilled hunter, fisherman and survivalist.

Shane resides in Clyde, North Carolina with his wife Kyla and his young daughter Avery. His Cold Mountain Kennel is located adjacent to his residence, near the infamous Cold Mountain.

He is dedicated to the continuation of the North Carolina Llewellin Setter breed and furtherment of champion blood lines through his award winning Llewellin Setter named Dan.
